Everything was beautiful
Bright, happy, colorful
Full of sparkling, magical wonder
I started to smile again
Thought that maybe I could fit in
And the joy would chase away the thunder
Gone were the storms I’d known for so long
And I believed with my whole being that I could belong
Something small and simple cuts deep
tearing you apart, piece by piece
You struggle to recover and understand
But thinking is like sculpting with dry sand
