When people say hello You shrink away Scared of messing up You look for an escape

When people complement you You don’t know what to say You beat yourself up later Convinced you’re a mistake

I understand because I do those things I too try to fly with broken wings

We both hate being this way We both want to be better So let’s start working for it And we’ll get better together
