I love that you remember all of your mistakes and can’t stand to see them I love that you think about the people you did wrong and want to write a better story

I love that you rehearse the ways in which you can be better and try to make them happen

I love that you’re still growing always changing wanting to be a better person

I love that face you think is hideous I can see the beauty in it I can see the beauty in you

I love the beauty in you I hope one day you will too

When they made you And I saw you coming I smiled at you Because I knew you were beautiful You were elegant Unexpected Something to remember Something to live by

But they weren't satisfied They put makeup on you Told you that you didn't conform to their standards

I was shocked to see what they did to you All because they didn't understand what they'd made

Now your smile's fake There's misery in your eyes You hate what they did But you want to be beautiful

That beauty's still there So I'll keep smiling in the hopes that one day you'll realize That you're still something beautiful

Chirp chirp chirp A soft breeze Caressing wet grass The smell of fresh rain in the air Dark clouds drift away Revealing a bright blue sky Gone for so long Shrouded in winter cold

Cool air rushes past Breathing new life into the world Fresh mud squishes between toes Walking around blooming flowers

Life returns to its face A world out of hibernation A season of sleep and sheltering Gives way to hope and life

You're a part of it It might be hard to see it But it's not just around you It's inside you too
