You don’t have to hide the pain There are safe people here It’s alright to cry out To show your anguish and fear

No matter what scars you bear No matter how you feel We can sit down together and help one another to heal

The Demons Inside

The demons are swarming mocking you, laughing at you you run for a safe corner where they can’t pursue You can’t hide your tears as you break down inside swallowed by the darkness that lurks behind your eyes

But you’re not alone in this We can all offer you light We will band together and help you win this fight

We’ll help you fight them the demons inside We’ll keep you safe and you’ll never have to hide

Lost in the Dark

We all lose our way sometimes Even the best of us We fall into the dark and can’t get back out There are things in the dark shadows, memories, nightmares lurking where the light can’t go taunting, laughing, whispering

And the fear always sets in Not only of what’s in the dark but that you won’t find your way out that you’ll be trapped in there forever

But you’re not alone in the dark We’re here to help you Sometimes, it takes a helping hand to find the light again

There are plenty of things to fear but don’t let asking for help be one of them when you’re lost in the dark know that it’s okay to speak up and say

“I need help”

Some days, life drags you down and you can’t carry on alone but know that it’s okay to need someone there When you are suffering when your problems are too much know that it’s okay to need someone to listen

It’s not a sign of weakness only of being human so know that it’s okay to need someone to talk to

I know it’s hard I know it’s scary so know that it’s okay to need me to be there

All you have to do is ask and I’ll be there by your side

Moondark

I’m trapped here inside no matter how many times I’ve tried to escape this empty pit The dark, the cold, this is it The past has swallowed me whole My regrets and misery have taken a toll So I’m left to wander, always lost Wondering if my choices were worth the cost Then I look out and see something new and my hope shines through Cos even though this journey is my own I don’t have to walk it alone I am walking in the moondark Always searching for a spark To help guide me through Never realizing the truth That I’m not here on my own There’s more love here than I could’ve known If I find someone to walk with me Maybe then, I’ll start to see A path forward out of this place and onward to a safe space

We’re always searching and forever yearning for someone to tell us that we aren’t one big mess so in the dark we wander as if there’s some spell we’re under making us think it’s just us here never realizing that friends are near If you look out, you’ll see something new and then your hope will shine through Cos even though this journey is your own you never have to walk it alone

We are walking in the moondark All searching for a spark To help guide us through Only just realizing the truth That we aren’t walking here alone When we’re together, I feel at home So I’ll walk with you, and you walk with me And together, we’ll start to see A path forward out of this place and onward to a safe space

Get Through Life Together
