I cannot understand the life you've lived how my world looks to you what you go through every day

I cannot understand what it's like to be you to feel the pain you've endured to suffer the same injustice as you

I cannot understand the judgment others pass on you the doubt and fear around you the indignation inside you

I cannot understand but I'll stand with you all the same because I know it's wrong and I want to help make it right
