When you smile your whole face takes part so I know that it’s real And you’re truly happy

People made you feel like they were more important than you They talked over you, cut you off as though no one wanted to listen to you

You shared your light with someone special But they made you feel oh so terrible The support and love that you always bring so many people decided they didn’t need Now you’re here, sad and afraid Wishing so badly that they’d all stayed I can’t understand why people pushed you away I know it hurt you, but anyway I guess that means there’s more of you for me

When you have dreams keep reaching for them Let no one else decide what path you take

You always look beautiful The way you dress, the way you are without even trying you always raise the bar

Time moves forward always ticking away and with it, the world changes little by little every day

It’s not the words we say it’s that we’re now talking Before this, I was crawling But I’ve stood up and started walking

A little kindness can go a long way just a few nice words can make someone’s day

Today, life is chaos mad, wild, out of control a raging river on which I’m trapped

You don’t need anyone else to tell you that you’re enough You can do that by yourself I know that you are that tough
