My Wings

At first, I didn't see them I didn't even know they were there then they flickered to life for a second bright and beautiful

just like me

They flickered and faded again and again I could only see them at special moments but as fleeting as they were I knew they belonged

Just like me

One day, I went to sleep closed my eyes and when I opened them there were my wings clear as a sunny, blue sky

Just Like me

Now my wings are always there fluttering and colorful full of light and beauty just like a butterfly

Days like this make the world bright the air fresh the sun warm

It won't last forever and tomorrow might be dreary so I'll enjoy today as best I can

Forest Princess

I dance and twirl My hair fluttering in the breeze My skirt fans out as light trickles through the trees

Birds chirp up above Twigs crack beneath my feet Squirrels run above ground And bugs crawl underneath

Nature sings around me The Sun crowns me her princess The world shines from our light Smiles on both our faces

With a beautiful blue sky Peeking through the trees so green I dance through my kingdom of nature I'm the Forest Princess, Mother Earth my queen

Living for Spring

Winter, she's alright for staying in and curling up tight but I'm looking to break out and sing When we all wake up in Spring

Autumn leaves are beautiful So are trees with orange and brown bountiful But I want to see flowers blooming All of them smiling at Spring

The Summer sun smiles on everyone Young and old, all out to have fun But there's nothing like seeing hope shining As the world comes alive in Spring

I look forward to seeing her year round Whether leaves or snow on the ground When I see her awaken, I'll run out dancing Cos I'm living for Spring

Cold Stars

I feel it creeping in but it’s not darkness, it’s light for once, it’s not threatening me I don’t have to put up a fight I don’t have to be afraid anymore I don’t have to hide I can let it all out to explode and shine

Calling out to the world belting it, screaming it I’m so high on joy I must be dreaming it

If I kicked off from the earth I could spread my wings soar into the sky and listen to the clouds sing

Up here with the sun in the beautiful blue sky I’m unchained, I’m free free to dance, free to fly

I invite you, please share this moment with me Just take my hand and come fly away with me

We’ll soar above our fears it’ll be glorious, it’ll be grand for a moment, let’s leave your pain behind all you have to do is take my hand
