My Safe Space

A small clearing protected by trees sunlight filtering in warm and safe

A creek trickles through birds chirp overhead the wind rustles the leaves peaceful and quiet

Maybe this place exists hidden away by nature giving shelter to those that need it

A place like this exists in my head I go there when I need a break from life

I know I can always find warmth and safety peace and quiet safety and shelter

Take Back Your Breath

Your breath is vital To being your best So when everything falls apart Take back your breath

In The Grass

What creatures exist here in this world so small I lie down in the grass to exist among them Their trials are different Yet all still valid I think of them and stare up at the sky

I listen to their songs Let them crawl on me Take a break from my problems And simply exist

Soon I'll have to return to my world But for now, I can find peace In a world I share with those That live in the grass

Music Sung by one side Then the other Soon everyone is singing

Peace For just one night A truce struck without generals A decision made by soldiers

A New Day

A light shines through a world of darkness It creeps over the hills that guard a valley And peeks through the trees that hide it Heralding a new day The sun breathes life into that valley Awakening old and new They trudge through dew-soaked grass to gather and welcome the new day

The smiles never leave their faces For they feel the love of one another The love they bring with the new day And the love the new day brings to them

It never vanishes from the valley Not until long after the sun leaves the sky Not until the heat of fire has faded Not until those lives bid the day farewell

As the final echoes of life die down They disperse back to their shelters And allow darkness to set in As they all begin a dream of a new day
