Dear Isaac
Dear Isaac,
There’s so much I love about you That I couldn’t imagine life without you The time we’ve spent together Is something I’ll cherish forever
Poetry for people who could use a little kindness
Dear Isaac,
There’s so much I love about you That I couldn’t imagine life without you The time we’ve spent together Is something I’ll cherish forever
We all lose our way sometimes Even the best of us We fall into the dark and can’t get back out
Something small and simple cuts deep tearing you apart, piece by piece You struggle to recover and understand But thinking is like sculpting with dry sand
Some days, life drags you down and you can’t carry on alone but know that it’s okay to need someone there
You tried so hard to find something That describes who and what you are But that’s not how life works, not really You might as well try to count every star
When you’re alone and scared thinking that no one cares I’ll show you that’s not true because I’m here for you
I close my eyes and feel the soft breeze right in this moment I’m at peace
Life’s dealt us all a bad hand of cards tearing us to pieces breaking us into shards
You ran and tripped and fell down And you can’t get up off the ground You’re always so full of regret So many things just make you so upset All those thoughts don’t make you bad Dry your tears, please don’t be sad Lean on me when you’re tired from the fight And always remember that it’s you that I like
I know you don’t always think that you’re all that much that you’re something special you don’t see yourself as such
