You closed your eyes and spread your wings But you didn't fly away I know why; you were afraid

You're afraid for the people you're leaving behind You can see their tears You can see their pain I see it too

But I also see their love The love of all these people coming together They're taking care of one another Even though they themselves are in pain

So don't be afraid Let butterfly wings guide you to peace And although you're leaving our lives The love you gave us will never leave our hearts
